Before turning pro in 2022, Donte Layne was named “one to watch” after the annual National Golden Gloves Tournament. Post tournament, Inside The Ropes called Layne “one of the best fighters in the country. . . [he] is not just a problem for most, he looks like the type of fighter who could turn pro and hit the ground running.” Layne made his professional debut at OTX in the summer of 2023 and since then, has continued to live up to his reputation as being “one to watch.”
