David Lopez is a young boxing phenomenon fighting out of his hometown Oakland. Before going pro, in 2015 and 2016 he was ranked #1 in his division in the U.S. For Lopez, boxing was built into his DNA. His grandfather fought professionally in the Philippines, his brother is a decorated amateur, and he is trained and mentored by Kris “Lightning” Lopez, his father and two-time Golden Gloves Champion. When he went pro in 2021, Lopez became the youngest professional to be signed by legendary Mayweather Promotions. Last season at OTX, Lopez went viral for his early first round technical knockout over Joseph Suero.
